It’s no secret that I love fashion, look at any of my previous blog posts. One of my biggest fashion assets has been Rent the Runway, especially with the MANY weddings I have this year. I hate to re-wear anything because I have a strange memory that can recall what everyone wore to any event. It makes me hate re-wearing anything, so being able to rent and return dresses has been amazing for me.
This past week I went to my brother’s wedding in New Orleans and it was a black tie optional event. I knew that I had to wear a floor length dress because I was asked to be the maid of honor. The bride requested that I wear something sparkly (not my usual go to,) but I found an amazing dress.

The fit was a little tighter than I was hoping for, but that bad boy did NOT fall down. Here I am in the dress at the wedding. The guy is my gorgeous husband 😉
Again, I would never pick this dress out to buy, but Rent the Runway was an amazing option to rent a really formal dress, for a fancy event, that I know I’ll never wear again.
My number one recommendation if you want to try Rent the Runway, look at the photos of REAL women in the dress. I let everyone know in my review that a C-cup runs tight in this dress, and that my normal size was tight for me, when it has fit in other gowns. The real person reviews are the most helpful to ensuring that you get a dress that fits.
I’m always happy to spread the world about my adventures with Rent the Runway! I have another wedding tomorrow and have my rented dress here (a size smaller than the dress above,) so again, always read the reviews so you can see if the dress runs small/large etc. The other great thing is that Rent the Runway will send you a free backup size, so whether you get a smaller backup size or a bigger one, you have two dresses to try on to see which fits better!
I highly recommend trying them, I’m in love with Rent the Runway this wedding season!
I will post my next RTR adventure soon!
